Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History (a.k.a. Army Museum)

On the same day as the Dinosaur Museum, we also visited the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History, better known as the Army Museum. The museum is situated in a very nice park, called Jubelpark (Park of the Jubilee) in Dutch or Parc du Cinquantenaire (Parc of the Fiftieth Anniversary) in French.

Various exhibitions are held at the museum, but there’s also a vast permanent collection including the Aviation Department, the Dutch gallery, Tanks, and the Medieval Gallery. At the time we visited, there was a big exposition about the First World War. The museum is easily accessible by public transportation, and the best part: it’s completely free!
