*newsflash* Update on my plans after language school

OMG OMG OMG!

I’m going to do a WorkAway (volunteering) in

~Himeji~

Like right next to the castle! I’m so excited and I’m stupidly smiling and if people would see me now they’d think I’m really creepy because well I’m just smiling so stupidly!

The owner of a guesthouse (called Himeji 588 Guesthouse) is renovating a place to make it into a new guesthouse, and needs help cleaning and renovating the place. That’s where I come in. I’ll be helping there with the cleaning and renovation, and in case it’s necessary I’ll help in the actual guesthouse.

I’ve been wanting to go to Himeji since for ever, but 2 years ago there was a renovation going on in the castle so we skipped Himeji back then. But I’m going now! I mean, not now immediately, but now as in at the end of the month. I can finally see the famous castle, which is only a few minutes walk from the guesthouse (which makes it even more awesome)!

I haven’t completely decided on the duration, but it’ll be one or two weeks, depending on my next WorkAway host’s schedule (whom I’ll contact after I post this).

A tip for that next WorkAway host’s location: it’s on an island! Okay okay, Japan consists of only island, duh, but you know what I mean; a rural island where there are no trains and no convenience stores… And for which you actually have to take a boat to get there! But I’ll keep you guys up to date, because I don’t know whether this will work out or not!

      • Cool! Thank yooouuu 🙂
I’m thinking about doing something like that as well when I go to Japan. It might cut down on my expenses aaand you meet Japanese people aaaand you might even be able to help someone. But why am I telling you this? You already did that stuff. XD Sorry, seems like my brain wants to talk way too much about going to Japan … ^^
