Mistaken shrine

That day we were supposed to go to Atago Shrine, but on our way there we took the wrong path and ended up at a little temple called Kannon Temple. We didn’t know we’d mistaken the temple for the shrine until we checked it on the internet later.

The old guy at the temple was really friendly though, kept on talking about his life in Germany back in the second world war (the friend who was with me was German), blurting out random German words he remembered. He also wrote some calligraphy sheet for my friend, to wish him good luck with his studies and his life in general.

It was cloudy that day, so because of being located under trees, I couldn’t take proper pictures of the temple.
