Ukiha: on our way to the farmer’s market

My friend wanted to go to Japan’s countryside, and since I had been in Ukiha (Fukuoka prefecture) before, I suggested we go there together. It’s an incredible place with lots of nature and not many people. Two years ago, I went there for volunteering, and I’ve always wanted to go back. I told a friend from Ukiha we were visiting and so she would come pick us up a bit after noon. We still had lots of time left, we took the earliest train possible to get the most out of our day, so we decided to go to the local farmer’s market called Mino no Sato.

On our way there, we saw some amazing sights, lots of red spider lilies, rice fields and persimmon orchards!
