Ukiha: at farmer’s market Mino no Sato

After taking lots of pictures on the way and making acquaintance with a Japanese woman also on her way to Mino no Sato, we finally arrived at this local farmer’s market. It’s kind of like a supermarket, but everything is produced locally, with mainly fruit and vegetables on sale. Other than food, we found lots of unique handmade crafts and, to our surprise, even insects!

Ukiha, Fukuoka, JapanI have been there before, so I didn’t take that many pictures, but my friend made a video there and she’s being to kind to allow me to put it on my blog.

I had told my friend about the Totoro bus that was there two years ago, so we were curious whether it would still be there. My friend was super thrilled when she found it in the middle of the building’s courtyard. Notice her excitement in the video below!

Ukiha, Fukuoka, JapanAs you can see in the video, we tried some interesting seafood snacks from a stall outside the exit and for lunch had a few interesting baked goods from the bakery. Fun fact: his place also had the biggest amount of trash bins I’ve ever seen in one place in Japan! (and an equal amount of vending machines next to it…)
