(s)no(w) surprise

Early in March, I went for another walk along the beautiful Scheldt, and on my way found some fruit trees in bloom already. Due to that, I got a feeling spring was about to start, but it was not to be…

Just five days later… snow! On top of that, it was the first snow this winter season where I live. Usually it snows about 10 to 15 times, so it was a surprise that the first snow fell so late. Though with the weather in Belgium always being awkward, it was not much of a surprise. Hehe. The snow was all gone in a matter of hours, and the next day the weather was as before. It might well be the only white carpet we saw this season, but snow in April or May wouldn’t be out of the question. But hey, I’m about to leave again so for me it was the only snow!
