At last; Fushimi Inari Shrine (1)

On my very last day (okay, technically this was the second to last, but the last day I actually did sightseeing in Kyoto), Chelsea took me to Fushimi Inari Shrine. You know, that shrine pretty much everyone who visits Kyoto will definitely have on their list. I’m not among those people. I hadn’t been in 2013, when I visited Kyoto for 4 days, and I hadn’t been in the whole 19 days I was in Kyoto this time. And Chelsea? She’d been more than once, and she told me I really had to see it, and even more, we could get there easily by bicycle!

Chelsea said that the shrine is a lot less crowded in the evening, so we left Peace House Sakura after dinner. It was less than 10 minutes away, and wow, I will never forgot how dangerous it feels to ride a bicycle in the side streets of Japan! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Anyway, Chelsea was right about the crowds having left after dinner… ^^

All the red of the torii is simply amazing, check it out below. (oh and in case I hadn’t told you yet, I really like Inari shrines… those foxes are awesome)
