My family has a tradition of going to the Belgian Ardennes every summer, and last summer was no different. My sisters, their spouses and kids, my brother, a cousin and her boyfriend, one sister’s befriended couple and my dad spent a week in the south. And me? Well, I’m not much of a family person, and the thought of having to spend a whole week with all these (13!) people horrifies me. But, as it was my goddaughter’s birthday, my sister decided to have her party there, so my mom, her significant other and I planned a visit to Bohan, at the French border. We were expected around 2 PM, so we decided to go on a trip and make a stopover in any place we found interesting.
We left around 9 AM, and after about 1,5 hours we arrived in the city of Namur. Our guide (my mom’s boyfriend) told us about a ‘castle’ up a mountain, and after a climb up the mountain (hill?) we could finally enjoy a splendid view of the city. 😁
There were a few other things to see in the citadel, of which I can unfortunately not remember everything exactly. 😇
After our stopover in Namur, we drove on and some time later visited another stunning little town. Curious? Stay tuned for my next post! 😊
